On the evening of July 26th, the members of the Knights met the members of the Squires at COOL Field and engaged in a hard fought battle for the 2011 Softball Championship Trophy. Both teams used multiple pitchers and slugged out numerous hits, but when the dust had settled, the Squires came out on top by a score of 14 to 11. A last inning rally by the Knights fell short of obtaining a victory. This is the third year in a row that the Squires have won the game during this annual event. The game was preceded by a picnic consisting of hamburgers and hot dogs provided by the Knights and numerous side dishes brought by the many families that attended. For now the friendly competition is over, but the Knights will be out for revenge next year, again.
