Prior to the meeting on Tuesday, October 14 th , 2014, the Knights of Columbus, Council #11188 presented checks to two organizations that provide assistance to intellectually challenged individuals within the Columbus / Franklin County area. Grand Knight Steve Doyle presented checks in the amount of $280.36 to Brian Asbury, Director of Development and Public Relations for the Heinzerling Foundation and to Kari Jones, President of the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO). Both representatives gave very informative presentations about their respective organizations. The money was collected by members of Council at the intersection of Hamilton and Refugee Roads back in May as part of the State Council's Measure Up program. Over the years, this program has generated thousands of dollars for these organizations and many others that serve needy individuals in Ohio.Left to right: Ralph Blamer - Chairman, Brian Asbury - Heinzerling, Kari Jones - DSACO, Steve Doyle - Grand Knight)
