We are pleased to announce that a grant in the amount of $7,500 has been received from The Catholic Foundation for Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. This grant is to provide the opportunity for senior citizens associated with the parish to experience a journey of faith and friendship at an affordable price. We are grateful to The Catholic Foundation for this generous grant in support of our senior citizens. St Mary Mother of God and Holy Family Parishes received similar grants.
Thanks to the grant, we are able to offer a " Spiritual and Social Journey " to senior citizens from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal at a very affordable price. This would be a three day trip (May 7 th - May 9 th ). This is a great opportunity for seniors to enrich themselves spiritually and socially and meet new friends along the way. Some of the sites you will see on this trip include: The Shrine of St. Mother Theodore Guerin in Indiana; the Gateway Arch Museum; the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis; the old Cathedral of St. Louis; a Riverboat Cruise on the Mississippi, and much more. The cost of the trip will cover transportation, accommodations at hotel in St. Louis; the Riverboat ride with boxed lunch, and any admission to the sites. The cost of the trip will be $200 (possibly less depending on the number of people who choose to go). Souvenirs and food (other than the free breakfast each morning and the boxed lunch) will be at your expense. If you are interested in going or want more information, please contact Sheila Lutz at St. Mary on 614-445-9668 or email: sheilalutz13@gmail.com .
