Knights Beat the Team Up North Sub Sale

KofC Meatball Sub Sale 2015 Get subs for Beat the Team Up North and save the fuss! The Knights of Columbus, Council #11188 is holding a meatball sub sandwich sale in time for the big OSU vs. Michigan football game. Sandwiches can be ordered after all Masses on November 7 th , 8 th , 14 th , & 15 th for $5 each. Payment will be required at the time of ordering. The delicious subs will be freshly made on the afternoon of Friday, 11/27, and will be available for pickup that same evening between the 6:00 and 7:30 PM. Order up a bunch of subs for the big game or just order a few for a delightful snack.  Questions:  Contact Mike Jacobs at 614-271-6722..

Proceeds go to support the general charitable works of the Knights. The local council distributes 90% or more of the proceeds each year in this parish or the Columbus diocese. Knights of Columbus Memorial Mass: Sunday, November 1 st , at the 9:00 AM Mass

As a remembrance in honor of their fallen members, our local Knights of Columbus will have a Mass celebrated to honor the deceased members of Knights of Columbus #11188. It will take place at the 9:00 AM Mass on Sunday, November 1 st .

This will include special seating for the families of the past members, a reading of the names, a carnation for each family of a deceased member, and a procession lead by the 4 th Degree Honor Guard to the Statue of Mary outside the church for the laying of a commemorative wreath.

Since the Knights of Columbus Miraculous Medal Council 11188 was chartered in 1993, God has called home 26 of our Knights. We ask your continuing prayers for them and for their families and loved ones who were left to grieve.

Ellis Armentrout, John Brokus, Carl Carius, Tony Colizzi, Dwight Conkey, Charley Connolly, Dave Core, Anthony Durant, Thomas Paul Getreu, Frank Gibson, Ed Hein, Wesley Helligas, Ed Hueckel, Ed Kopetz, Chuch Maille, Jack Mehan, Phil Montalvo, Joe Nagy, Aloysius J. Nehr, John Pahumbo, Deacon Joe Poland, Jack Priest, Al Samuel, Dave Smith, Rusty Tucker, and Walt McAvay. Although Walt never joined the Knights, he supported the Council in all of its endeavors.

THESE MEN, THESE BROTHER KNIGHTS, WILL LIVE ON IN OUR MEMORIES AND IN OUR HEARTS.

Announcing Exciting Changes to PSR for 2015-16 (Revised Schedule!)

This year we invite all of our parish children, grades Pre K - 8, to join us on the journey to learn about our Catholic faith through the Parish School of Religion. Here are some highlights to the changes to PSR this year:

Classes will be held on Sundays, 9:45 AM - 11 AM beginning Sunday, September 27 th (9:15 AM to 10:45 AM effective 10-18-2015).
Tuition will remain at $55 per student (max $165 per family) -- that's less than $2 per class; and scholarships are available.
Registrations and tuition are due by 9/20/15; please print and return the registration form available here to the church office. Please see the permanent PSR web page also.

PSR is managed by committee co-chaired by Lori Cardamone (loricardi@gmail.com ), Angel Schneider (angel.schneider@outlook.com ), and Eric Schneider (ericschneider007@hotmail.com ). Please contact any one of the co-chairs with questions, to volunteer or to make a donation to the program.

Special Memorial Service on National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children

Join Knights of Council 11188 and your fellow parishioners to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. The council is hosting a memorial service and rededication at the monument in the west parking lot following the Mass on September 12 th . Pray for the end of abortion and for the souls of the many infants who have had their little lives ended prematurely by this terrible evil. This day has become an annual event calling on pro-life Americans everywhere to honor the deaths of our unborn brothers and sisters. Council 11188 erected the first monument dedicated to the unborn in the Columbus Diocese. Fr. Coleman and Dcn. Steve will be participants.
